GENERAL OBJECTIVES FOR THE CAIRO YOUTH EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE (CYEI):
1. Promoting Youth Rights and Participation:
- Empower young people, with a special focus on women and girls, to actively engage in decision-making processes.
- Advocate for their rights, amplify their voices, and address gender-specific barriers.
2. Capacity Building and Skill Development:
- Organize workshops, training programs, and events that enhance the skills of all youth, including women and girls.
- Ensure gender-responsive capacity building across various domains.
3. Tailoring Programs to Youth Needs:
- Understand the unique needs of women and girls. Tailor programs and activities to address their specific challenges.
- Promote inclusivity by considering diverse backgrounds, abilities, and aspirations.
4. Environmental Stewardship:
- Promote environment conservation and climate change mitigation, with a gender lens.
- Engage women and girls in sustainable practices, environmental education, and community-based initiatives.
5. Harnessing Technology for Empowerment:
- Advocate for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) literacy among all youth, including women and girls.
- Explore digital tools for education, skill-building, and community development.
6. Access to Clean Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH):
- Work towards equitable access to clean water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education for women and girls.
- Address health disparities and promote well-being, recognizing gender-specific needs.
